About Home Connector

Home Connector is a partnership between COUNTY CORP and DOWNING COMMUNITY ADVISORS to address key housing issues facing the Greater Miami Valley. The Home Connector Program, which is aimed at addressing gaps in the local home buying system, the specific needs of home buyers  and inducing investment in neighborhoods through renovating vacant, foreclosed properties and assisting qualified home buyers to purchase properties. 

"Socially Responsible Developer" Program

The purpose of the program is to  address blighted and foreclosed properties by working with development partners (for-profit & non-profit) to revitalize homes and encourage responsible reinvestment into Montgomery County's neighborhoods.     Properties  renovated through this program are held to a "Rehabilitation Standards," making these properties some of the highest quality and most energy efficient homes available to buyers. 

"Buy & Renovate" Program

This program works with home buyers that have the goal of purchasing a "fixer-upper"  and working with the buyer to take advantage of existing low-down payment, purchase-rehab mortgage programs to acquire and renovate  formerly foreclosed home.   Encouraging investment in the purchase and renovation of homes,  will allow these home buyers to build equity through their investment,  thereby increasing the stability of  Montgomery County neighborhoods. 

"Turn-Key" Home Buying Program

The "Turn-Key" Home Buyer Program  markets  Home Connector partner properties, that have been renovated and in accordance with the Home Connector "Rehabilitation  Standards".  These homes are some of the highest quality and most energy efficient homes available to buyers on the market.
For 35 years, we've been helping area residents improve their homes and working with our local businesses to help them expand.  As a 501c3 not for profit corporation, County Corp works hard to make a difference in our community.

County Corp was the first housing and economic development non-profit in any Ohio county and since 1979, has filled the essential role of pursuing housing and economic development programs for its residents. The mission of County Corp is to improve our Greater Dayton- Montgomery County community by offering affordable housing and economic programs for residents and small businesses.
